<p>The article examines the legal regulation of artificial intelligence technologies in the Russian Federation. Itanalyzes existing normative legal acts, strategic documents, and concepts that shape the development of this field. Special attention is paid to the fragmented nature of the current regulatory framework, the absence of a unified legislative act on artificial intelligence, and the challenges associated with the allocation of legal liability. The paper reviews the existing approaches DOI: 10.24412/2782-3830-2026-7-63-69 № 7 - 2026 64 to defining the legal status of various artificial intelligence (AI) systems, aswell as the mechanisms designed to protect the rights of citizens. Keydirections for the further development of legal regula tion are identified, including the adoption of a dedicated legal act on artificial intelligence, the crea tion of a comprehensive system of technical standards, and the implementation of a risk-based approach. The relevance of the study is driven by the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence tech nologies and the need for their safe application in the economy and social sphere.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>искусственный интеллект</kwd><kwd>правовое регулирование</kwd><kwd>цифровая эконо мика</kwd><kwd>юридическая ответственность</kwd><kwd>Национальная стратегия</kwd><kwd>технологический суверенитет</kwd><kwd>этические принципы</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>artificial intelligence</kwd><kwd>legal regulation</kwd><kwd>digital economy</kwd><kwd>legal liability</kwd><kwd>National Strat egy</kwd><kwd>technological sovereignty</kwd><kwd>ethical principles</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">Архиереев, Н.
