<p>The article examines Islamic legal views on the permissibility of human organ and tissue transplantation and their significance for improving Russian legal regulation. The relevance of the topic is determined by the fact that transplantation lies at the intersection of medicine, civil law, bioethics and religion; therefore, itslegal assessment cannot be limited to technical medical criteria only. The issue is particularly important for Russia as a secular and, at the same time, multi-confessional state, where trust in donation institutions depends notonly on the quality of legal procedures butalso on the consideration of value-based attitudes of various religious communities. The purpose of the study is to identify those elements of Islamic legal doctrine that may be relevant for developing an ethically sensitive model of transplantation regulation in the Russian legal order. The methodology includes formal legal, comparative legal, systemic, hermeneutic and bioethical methDOI: 10.24412/2782-3830-2026-5-291-294 ods. The article shows that contemporary Islamic legal thought does notproceed from an absolute prohibition of transplantation butforms a model of conditional permissibility based on the objectives of Sharia, protection of life, prohibition of harm, free consent of the donor and inadmissibility of commercialization of the human body. It is concluded that, for Russian law, the significance of the Islamic approach lies not in replacing secular norms with religious rules but in strengthening guarantees of informed consent, prohibition of organ trade, respect for the deceased body and public trust in postmortem donation.</p>
