<p>The article explores the dialectical unity of state sovereignty and constitutional human rights in modern state studies. The author substantiates the proposition that state sovereignty and constitutional rights are not in conflict, butform an organic system in which human rights constitute the internal content and form of realization of sovereignty, while sovereignty serves as a necessary condition for the real ensuring and protection of these rights. Drawing on the analysis of classical political and legal doctrines and contemporary approaches, the article reveals the evolution of ideas concerning the limits of sovereignty, itsfunctional conditioning by the tasks of the state, and itsconnection with popular sovereignty. The role of constitutional rights is demonstrated as a mechanism for legitimizing state power, fostering citizens’ trust in the state, and ensuring the stability of sovereign statehood. Particular attention is paid to the state-studies dimension of the problem: constitutional rights are viewed asnormatively enshrined conditions of human life and activity that define the limits and content of public power, aswell as a factor of internal societal consolidation and the reproduction of sovereignty.
