В статье представлен личностный взгляд на банковские системы как инсти туциональное ядро современной экономики, обладающее парадоксальной двойственностью. Автор размышляет о фундаментальном конфликте между созидательной ролью кредита и разрушительным потенциалом финансовых дисбалансов. Прослеживается эволюция банков ского дела — от простейших депозитарных операций до многоуровневых трансграничных конгломератов, порождающих риски «финансовой ятрогении». Особое внимание уделяется морально-этическим аспектам кредитования, проблеме асимметрии информации, феномену «токсичных» активов и дилемме «too big to fail». На основе анализа литературы предлагаются реалистичные пути минимизации системных угроз через трансформацию регуляторной куль туры, повышение финансовой грамотности и воспитание ответственности у всех участников рынка.

The article offers a personal perspective on banking systems as the institutional core of the modern economy, characterized by a paradoxical duality. The author reflects on the fundamental conflict between the creative role of credit and the destructive potential of financial imbal ances. The evolution of banking is traced — from simple depositary operations to multi level cross border conglomerates that generate risks of “financial iatrogenesis.” Special attention is paid to the moral and ethical aspects of lending, the problem of information asymmetry, the phenomenon of “toxic” assets, and the “too big to fail” dilemma. Based on a literature analysis, realistic ways to minimize systemic threats are proposed through the transformation of regulatory culture, the enhancement of financial literacy, and the cultivation of responsibility among allmarket participants.
